RIP Anna Nicole
Well, apparently Anna Nicole Smith has died. She was 39. That's like four fucking years younger than me.
Fuck.
I don't know a whole lot about her, as I don't watch telly and am not into most celebrity shit, but I will say that I always admired her not-skinny-as-a-fucking-prisoner-of-war figure.

She was just one among many poor WT women who had a rough life, in her case, more due to her poor choices than to her original circumstances.
It always saddens me to see people who live such desperate lives, especially those who die young and needlessly without ever having had real joy and beauty in their lives. But I see them in my local obits, too. We only hear about her because of her celebre. I cannot forget that her life and death is not the only very sad human story in the world.
I feel more sorry for the child, who will never really have a "normal" life, in spite of anyone's efforts to protect her from the media. The public will always get what it wants where profit is involved.
