Ahhh! AHHHH!
....
....
What the fuck was I talking about?
Oh, anyway, I always say that Star Wars changed my life but I think that perhaps it was another film, a film that came out just a few years earlier, that had a deeper, more subtle impact ...
JAWS
This film scared the FUCK out of me. Scared. The. FUCK. Out. Of. Me.
I have always had a terror of deep water. I swim quite well and I love to swim (though I haven't swum in years due to the wouldn't-want-to-scare-anyone-while-in-a-swimsuit factor) and my mum taught me to swim when I was very small. But even when I was a little kid I couldn't be in a pool alone. I was terrified of the deep end as long as I was alone in the water. I kept thinking that something would come out of the darkness and get me (I have a basic fear of the dark on land as well). As long as there was someone else in the pool I was fine; diving down to the drain, jumping in the deepest water, but the instant the last person left the pool I got scared.
Then I saw Jaws
To me the ultimate nightmare would be to fall overboard in the ocean at night. Floating there, alone, in the absolute darkness, with miles and miles of deep, black, silent water underneath you.
AAaaaaaAaaAaaHHHHhhhhh!

Speaking of sharks, howabout this:

Can you say; "Oh HAY-EL no!" ? That is a 12-foot Great White.
Check this friendly lil guy lifting his head out of the water like a dolphin to size up this snack. Give him a pat, buddy!
