Have you tasted the new Diet Coke with Splenda? It tastes like ass. I’m not joking. If I and my Darling Hubby didn’t contribute so fucking much to the annual earnings of Coca-Cola, I’d think they had tried to poison me.
I love Coke. I’m a Coca-Cola kinda gal. I will – literally – go thirsty rather than drink that Other Brand. But this is awful. It doesn’t taste like Diet Coke and it doesn’t taste like Coke. It’s a chemically cloying fake sweetness that will probably blend in with Pepsi’s already nasty sticky sweet flavour just fine (they apparently have a version coming out).

Okay, I'm laughing so hard I'm going to wake up my sleeping family. Firstly, I say things taste and smell like ass, too, and people find this so amazingly funny. "Go shower, you smell like ass" and people just roll in the aisles. Go figure. Glad to hear someone else says it as well.
Secondly, I, too, would rather thirst to death than drink the p-word. That shit is just nasty.
And I have an aversion to any product that makes my coffee foam up like Alka-Seltzer. I put a spoonful of Splenda in my coffee one morning, watched it fizz and then dumped it out and drank a Coke.
SPLENDA is fuckin poison! That shit is so nasty - I can tell right away when it is in something - I have a very nasty reaction to it - like my tongue is swelling. I tried the new Dasani Lemon water the other day (Another FINE Coke product w Spelnda and it tasted like ass with cabbage and throw up! (I must confess I really like that Austin Powers bit - Fat Bastard is hilarious!)
Another COke drinker here - give me the sugar only version - and none of that "New" Coke shit either - do you remember THAT fiasco?

As a recently diagnosed type two diabetic, one can of Coke is just too much carbs. Sadly, Diet Coke tastes like ass to me (thanks for the phrase).
However, I love Diet Pepsi! Strange, but Pepsi and Diet Coke are too sweet for me but Coke and Diet Pepsi aren't. Go figure.
I do like the new Diet Coke with Lime though... if only there were a fountain version.
