Anybody in here?
Hey!
I just wanted to pop in and apologize and explain my absence (if anyone's still hanging about ... hello? Hellooooo?)
My blogging might be a bit spotty for the next several weeks. If you're mad curious then check in on my Mommy blog. I'll probably keep it better updated just for the time being.
Briefly - my Baby Extraction is scheduled for the first week in June and I'm currently swamped with appointments: pre-ops, interview with the aneshesiologist, plus my regular OB appointments. I've been pronounced at risk for pre-eclamsia which is just a fancy way of saying that I've been swelling up like a fat, pink toad and they're worried that my blood pressure will go through the roof (pre-eclampsia is pregnancy induced hypertension). Our new puppy, Molly, is going in for her spay next week and this week is the last week of school for Darling Hubby so he's giving exams and tying up loose ends.
We're just a tad rushed around here.
So if I vanish for a bit, don't dispair. I'll be back. New babies who wake 16 times in the night demanding to be fed make for tired mommas who sit up and dick about on the computer at all hours.
I shall return!

Waitadamnminutehere! I thought you were a Sheila, not a bloke... but you are having a baby, so you've got to be a Sheila... maybe the 'dick' bit was metaphorical...
< head explodes like Kryten's >
Ah. Much better.
All the luck and skill of doctors with the babe.
"... you remind me of the babe."
"What babe?"
"The babe with the power."
"What power?"
"The power of voodoo."
"Who do?"
"You do."
"Do what?"
"Remind me of the babe..."
chris, who can't watch that movie without intentionally and blatantly ignoring David Bowie's crotch in certain scenes and listening for Danny John-Jules...
